The Terms and Conditions of sale available online, email or phone by Geneva Airport Transfers.
The term ‘client’, ‘lead passenger’, ‘customer’, ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to any individual making a reservation for themselves, or on behalf of others or groups greater than 2 persons.
1.Definition of Services
Geneva Airport Transfers reserve the right to modify or change the services offered at any time. Bookings for transfer services are confirmed when payment has been received by Geneva Airport Transfers.
1.1 Private Transfers
Arrival Transfers
- Only you, your party or team will occupy the transfer vehicle. Your transfer vehicle(s) will depart the airport at the earliest possible time.
- You will be met by a Geneva Airport Transfers driver in the arrivals hall (Terminal 1). The driver will be standing close to the yellow tourist information desk holding a board with the group leaders name.
- Shop stops, or collection of keys are available providing they have been requested and paid for at the time of your original booking. Such requests incur additional fees if you surpass the pre-arranged waiting time. These are to be paid to your driver on the day.
Departure Transfers
- Geneva Airport Transfers plan to get you to the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled flight departure
- Your pick up time is indicated on your travel ticket. You will be notified of any changes to your pick up time the day before your departure date. Your notification will arrive via SMS and/or email to the number provided by the lead passenger on the confirmed booking. It is not the responsibility of Geneva Airport Transfers if this information has not been received.
- Customers must be ready with all luggage and equipment at the scheduled pick up time and waiting outside the address provided in the booking confirmation. If you are not present at the pick-up time given, Geneva Airport Transfers will attempt to make contact with the lead passenger. In the event of a no show of the customer 15 minutes later than the scheduled pick up time Geneva Airport Transfers will consider the client no longer requires the transfer and will treat it as a late cancellation. No refund will be available.
1.2 Pick-up & Drop off Locations
- You will be met by a Geneva Airport Transfers driver in the arrivals hall (Terminal 1). The driver will be standing close to the yellow tourist information desk holding a board with the group leaders name.
- You will be dropped off at the address provided by the lead passenger in the booking confirmation. The client is expected to have the contact details for the accommodation they are staying. In the event that the accommodation cannot be found the driver will drop off clients at the Tourist Office in the resort they are staying. If the provided address is incorrect resulting in an additional drive for the vehicle and driver further charges will incur. These will be paid to the driver.
2. Persons under contract
The individual whose name appears on a confirmed booking is considered to be the lead passenger. A contract is made between the lead passenger and Geneva Airport Transfers when a travel ticket is emailed by Geneva Airport Transfers to the lead passenger. Even though the lead passenger may not be travelling with the group/party they are to be held responsible for communicating all the correct travel information (drop off/pick up address(es), arrival/departure dates & times, flight details, contact details, drop-off/pick up times, number of passengers travelling including minors, baby/child seats requirements) to Geneva Airport Transfers and the group they represent. All communication will be directed to the lead passenger. The lead passenger is responsible for accepting these terms and conditions on behalf of their group. Transfers missed or further charges applied as a result of incorrect information provided by the lead passenger will not be the responsibility of Geneva Airport Transfers. The customer will be liable and no refund will be given.
2.1 Evidence of Contract
Upon receipt of payment, Geneva Airport Transfers will email a travel ticket in the form of a PDF. The travel ticket provides confirmation of your booking and is proof of a contract to travel with Geneva Airport Transfers.
2.2 Changes to a confirmed booking
Changes by you
- A confirmed booking is only valid for the transfer(s) listed on the travel ticket. Unless 14 days notice is given, confirmed bookings are not transferable to another time/date or person. Changes must be made in writing by email.
Changes by Geneva Airport Transfers
- If a change is required before your transfer, Geneva Airport Transfers will email the lead passenger. If changes need to be made less than 48 hours before your transfer, Geneva Airport Transfers will call the lead passenger and update them of changes that have been made. This will be followed up by an email. The lead passenger is responsible for passing the information on and updating the other passengers in their group of any changes.
2.3 Cancellation
Cancellation by you
- The client can request to cancel a confirmed booking at any time. Any cancellation request made less than 48 hours in advanced of a confirmed booking will receive no refund. Any cancellation request made between 2 – 14 days in advanced of a confirmed booking will receive a partial refund at Geneva Airport Transfers discretion. Any cancellation requests made at least 14 days in advanced of a confirmed booking will receive a full refund minus a 25€ administration fee. Geneva Airport Transfers will not be liable for losses due to exchange rates and bank charges.
Cancellation by Geneva Airport Transfers
- Geneva Airport Transfers reserves the right to cancel a transfer in the event of circumstances arising that are out of Geneva Airport Transfers control and prevent a confirmed booking being fulfillable. Geneva Airport Transfers will not be liable for costs incurred to passengers as a result. Such events include but are not limited to:
- Force Majeure (e.g. war, natural disaster)
- Delayed, diverted, postponed or cancelled flights
- Road traffic collisions
- Industrial action
- Vehicle breakdown
- Problems caused by passengers (arrest, detained, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, inaccurate information provided)
- Severe weather conditions
- Third party damage to vehicles
- Actions of the police, customs or other government officials
Should such events occur Geneva Airport Transfers will provide the necessary paperwork to support any travel insurance claim(s).
3. Children
- All passengers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
- All children regardless of their age are designated a seat and must be included in the number of persons traveling in a party when making a confirmed booking. The lead passenger is responsible for informing Geneva Airport Transfers of the number and age of children travelling in their party in the confirmed booking. This is so Geneva Airport Transfers can supply the correct number and appropriate sized seats for the children traveling, please see European Directive 2003/20/EC. Geneva Airport Transfers will not be carrying baby and child seats on the day of your transfer unless this information has been declared at the time of your confirmed booking.
4. Our obligations to you
- It is Geneva Airport Transfers obligation to provide the agreed number of seats at the agreed time and date as indicated on clients confirmed booking (unless see 2.3,1. Cancellation by Geneva Airport Transfers).
- Geneva Airport Transfers drivers will transfer you to your booked destination using the most straightforward and safest route possible, based on live traffic, road closures and weather conditions.
- Geneva Airport Transfers will drop you as close as possible to the address given on the confirmed booking, as is safe to do so. If it is not possible to drop you at the exact address (due to restricted road access, unsafe road conditions) the driver will drop you off at the nearest accessible/cleared road.
5. Your duty
The customer must print or have an electronic copy of the travel ticket emailed to them. They are to show their travel ticket to the Geneva Airport Transfers driver. Even though the lead passenger may not be travelling with the group/party they are to be held responsible for communicating all the correct travel information (drop off/pick up address(es), arrival/departure dates & times, flight details, contact details, drop-off/pick up times, number of passengers travelling including minors, baby/child seats requirements) to Geneva Airport Transfers and the group they represent. Transfers missed or further charges incurred as a result of incorrect information provided by the lead passenger will not be the responsibility of Geneva Airport Transfers. The customer will be liable and no refund will be given.
6. Prices
All quoted prices are inclusive of (VAT) for your quoted transfer(s). Geneva Airport Transfers are not responsible for any additional fees or charges incurred by your bank or credit card provider.
6.1 Change of Price
- The prices quoted on the Geneva Airport Transfers website and invoices you receive are subject to change until payment has been received.
- Geneva Airport Transfers reserve the right to apply additional surcharges to any confirmed booking to reflect unforeseen circumstances such as rises in fuel price and introduction of new taxes for the transport of passengers.
- Geneva Airport Transfers will notify clients immediately if it is necessary to increase the cost of their booked transfer(s).
7. Luggage
Passengers are each allocated space for two items of luggage (1x hand luggage & 1x hold luggage) and a ski or snowboard bag (folding prams, pushchairs and strollers are also allowed) such details must be provided by you whilst making the confirmed booking. Any additional luggage is considered excess and must be declared by the lead passenger at the time of the confirmed booking. If bike boxes/bike bags or additional luggage and equipment is being carried this information must be provided by the lead passenger at time of the confirmed booking so Geneva Airport Transfers can make the arrangements to bring a box trailer. Geneva Airport Transfers have no obligation to transport any excess luggage or equipment that hasn’t been previously declared by the lead passenger at the time of confirmed booking, and reserve the right to refuse carriage.
7.1 Delayed Luggage
Geneva Airport Transfers are not responsible for waiting for delayed luggage/equipment.
7.2 Loading of Luggage
The driver is responsible for loading any luggage presented to them by passengers. It is the passengers responsibility to ensure they have passed all their luggage to the driver. Geneva Airport Transfers will not be held responsible for any luggage that was not given to the driver during loading.
7.3 Unloading of Luggage
Clients must collect and take their luggage and all personal items at arrival of their destination. Geneva Airport Transfers will not be held responsible for any luggage and personal items left in transfer vehicles.
7.4 Lost, Damaged or Left Luggage/items
Geneva Airport Transfers advises customers to have the necessary travel insurance to cover lost, damaged, delayed, left luggage, personal items and money. Geneva Airport Transfers have no liability or obligation of any items left in vehicles by passengers. All items that are left are at the risk of the passengers who will also be held responsible for arranging courier delivery of such items.
8. Client & Passenger behaviour
- The consumption of alcohol and/or illegal drugs is not permitted in any vehicle, this includes opened bottles/cans of alcohol and possession of illegal substances. Geneva Airport Transfers reserve the right to refuse the transfer of passengers who are under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or being abusive towards Geneva Airport Transfers drivers. In such circumstances Geneva Airport Transfers will not provide a refund or be liable for any costs incurred to the passengers.
- Geneva Airport Transfers reserve the right to immediately terminate a transfer if passengers consume alcohol, drugs or become aggressive or threatening during a transfer. Failure to depart the vehicle at the driver’s request will result in the police being contacted. In such circumstances Geneva Airport Transfers will not provide a refund or be liable for any costs incurred to the passengers.
- Consumption of food and beverages is not permitted in transfer vehicles. However, as part of the transfer service Geneva Airport Transfers will provide complimentary still and sparkling bottled water.
In the event of a vehicle becoming littered or soiled the Geneva Airport Transfers driver will charge the passengers a 60€ cleaning fee. Any damage to Geneva Airport Transfers vehicles by passengers must be paid to the driver.
Payments for littered, soiled or damages vehicles by passengers must be paid to the driver immediately, failure to comply will result in Geneva Airport Transfers pursing legal action to recover payment for damages from the lead passenger.
9. Sub-contracting/ Outsourcing
Geneva Airport Transfers reserves the right to sub-contract bookings to other licensed transfer companies to fulfill clients bookings. Please be aware that sub-contractors of Geneva Airport Transfers may have slight variations in their operating terms and conditions.
