Winter:
The Alps are of course famous for the very popular sport of skiing. St Sigismond where we are based, is situated only 6kms from Les Carroz, giving easy access to Flaine and the Grand Massif, one of the most snow sure resorts in the area.
The slightly more difficult skiing of Chamonix is only 50 minutes away with Les Gets, giving access to the Porte du Soleil 20 minutes away. Another five minutes along is Morzine and also access to Avoriaz.
Above the village itself is the plateau of Agy, an area popular for Ski de Fond (cross country skiing) and snow shoe walking, which is fabulous fun. The area has prepared tracks or you can make your own.
Other winter activities include: Dog Sledging and sledging as well as tandem paragliding flights in all resorts. Night skiing is usually carried out one night every week in the villages.
